Installation Instructions

1. Locate the Filter: The filter is located inside the refrigerator compartment. In most LG French door models it is in the upper right area of the fresh food section. Check your owner's manual for the exact location in your specific model
2. Remove Old Filter: Grasp the old filter and rotate it counterclockwise approximately a quarter turn, then pull it straight out. No tools are required
3. Prepare New Filter: Remove the protective cap from the new filter cartridge
4. Install New Filter: Insert the new filter into the housing and rotate it clockwise approximately a quarter turn until it locks firmly in place
5. Flush the System: Run water through the dispenser for approximately 2 gallons (around 5 minutes) to flush air and activate both filtration stages. Water may appear slightly cloudy initially — this is normal
6. Discard Initial Ice: Discard the first batch of ice produced after installation
