Frigidaire PAULTRA2 PureAir Ultra II Refrigerator Air Filter — Replaces 5303918847, 242047805, EAP12364179
Product Description
The Frigidaire PAULTRA2 is the PureAir Ultra II replacement air filter used in Frigidaire Gallery, Frigidaire Professional and select Electrolux refrigerators. It is a carbon-media cartridge that circulating air passes through inside the fresh food compartment, absorbing the food odors that build up in a closed refrigerator — onion, garlic, fish, leftovers and strong cheeses — so those smells don’t transfer into milk, butter, produce and other uncovered foods.
The cartridge is sold under several part numbers depending on where it was purchased. PAULTRA2 is the model designation, 5303918847 and 242047805 are the Frigidaire and Electrolux part numbers, and EAP12364179, PS12364179, AP6285787 and PD00044143 are distributor reference numbers for the same cartridge. If your refrigerator manual or existing filter shows any of those numbers, this is the correct replacement.
Installation takes about ten seconds and needs no tools. The holder flips open by hand, the old cartridge lifts out, the new one drops in, and the door snaps closed. Models with a filter reminder light can then be reset from the control panel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is PAULTRA2 the same as PAULTRA?No. The PAULTRA2 is the small 3.8" x 1.8" cartridge used with the PureAir Ultra II system. The PAULTRA is the older, much larger 6.5" x 4.75" filter used with the original PureAir Ultra system. They use different holders and will not fit each other’s refrigerators.
My filter says 5303918847, not PAULTRA2. Is this the right one?Yes. 5303918847 is the Frigidaire part number for the PAULTRA2 cartridge. 242047805 is the Electrolux number for the same part, and EAP12364179, PS12364179, AP6285787 and PD00044143 are distributor references for it.
Does this filter my drinking water? No. This is an air filter for the refrigerator compartment only. Water dispensers and ice makers use a separate water filter cartridge, such as the EPTWFU01 or ULTRAWF depending on your model.
How do I know when to replace it?Most compatible refrigerators have an air filter indicator that changes colour at the six-month mark. If your model does not have one, replace it every six months, or sooner if odors start returning.
Can I wash and reuse the old cartridge? No. The carbon media works by absorption, and once it is saturated it cannot be restored. Rinsing it will not recover performance and moisture may damage the media.
Do I need tools? No. The holder opens and closes by hand and the cartridge drops straight in.
Which pack size should I buy?One cartridge covers six months. The 2-pack covers a year, the 4-pack covers two years, and the 6-pack covers three years. Unopened cartridges keep in their sealed wrappers.
Will it work if my refrigerator model isn’t listed above? If your existing air filter is the small rectangular PureAir Ultra II cartridge and measures about 3.8" x 1.8", this is the correct replacement even if your exact model number is not shown. Model lists change as Frigidaire adds production revisions.
