How to Install

Find the filter. It sits inside the fresh food compartment — on most LT500P refrigerators, in the upper right area or at the base of the compartment. Check your owner's manual if you are unsure.
Twist out the old filter. Rotate it counter-clockwise about a quarter turn, then pull it straight out. Have a cloth ready — a small amount of water may drip.
Unwrap the new filter. Pull off the protective cap. Leave the o-rings and seals in place.
Twist in the new filter. Push it into the housing and rotate clockwise a quarter turn until it stops and sits flush.
Flush the line. Run about 2 gallons through the dispenser (roughly 5 minutes). Cloudy water and sputtering during this step are normal — that is trapped air clearing out.
Dump the first ice. Discard the first full batch the ice maker produces.
